FS-RAS7036-2105657 Group Fellowship in the Determination of Sr-8990 and Ra-226 through Radiochemical Separation Methods , 14 February to 1 April 2022 , Slovenia

Purpose:

The purpose of the Group Fellowship is the training in rapid determination

of Sr-90 through liquid scintillation counting and determination of Ra-226

through alpha-particle spectrometry.

Deadline for Nominations:

Nominations received after 10 December 2021 will not be considered.

Scope and Nature:

The scope of the event is to train 3-5 fellows in the rapid determination of

Sr-89/90 through LSC and Ra-226 through alpha-particle spectrometry.

Participants' Qualifications and Experience:

Theoretical and laboratory experience in radiometric techniques and

responsibilities in determination of radionuclide activity concentrations in

environmental/food samples for radiological monitoring.
